Teaching
Georgia State has one of the most diverse student bodies in the country, with 23% of undergraduates being first-generation students. In my Critical Thinking classes, I aim to make philosophical materials and activities as accessible as possible, knowing firsthand how valuable introductory classes like these can be for students from underprivileged backgrounds. In the Fall 2024 semester, I launched the “Your Songs, Our Community” initiative to show students how their personal histories, as tied to their favorite songs, connect to broader social structures and norms. I look forward to further developing my teaching methods during my doctoral studies.
